Each floor has an electronic lock accessible by password, and individual rooms are unlocked using your phone. The shared bathrooms and restrooms, while communal, offer individual cubicles, ensuring good security and privacy. The kitchen area is equipped with hot and cold water dispensers and a coffee machine. Cleanliness is acceptable, though occasionally, restroom bins weren't emptied promptly in the evenings. During my stay, it wasn't overly crowded, so there was no queue for the washrooms. Most guests were young (older folks probably wouldn't manage the top bunk anyway), but everyone was polite and not noisy. There's a building under construction across the street and several bars nearby, leading to some noise at night. If you're sensitive to noise, avoid booking a room with a window, as the windows can't really be opened (I'm a heavy sleeper and have a quirky need for natural light in the morning, so I was still quite satisfied with the windowed room). Overall, it's very suitable for solo travelers. Minor issues: 1. Since the restrooms are gender-neutral, I suggest providing an alcohol sanitizer in each cubicle. 2. The luggage storage after check-out is very convenient, but the lack of any proof (like a tag) for dropping off or picking up luggage, combined with rotating staff, does pose a risk of items being mistakenly taken."

"I reli enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The best part was the staff service, everyone was super friendly, helpful, and attentive. On the other hand, the facilities inside the room are a bit old, but it was within my expectation given the hotel’s history, style and price. The bed was comfortable, and I slept well. The location is very convenient, and the room was clean even though the facilities were a bit dated. Some minor maintenance or a refresh of the bathroom and toiletries cud make it perfect. Wi‑Fi worked fine and the air‑con was good, all at a reasonable price for wat u get."

"Honestly for the price that I paid for I would say I was emmensely pleased with this hotel,the location is in the heart of Chinatown and browsing through shops and restaurants was very easily accessible and convenient. Below us were many stalls and places to eat, shop. The room was very clean, no issues with the cleanliness and condition of the room. The complimentary items provided were quite good too and shower was very nice especially after a days worth of walking and travelling. I would say the landing area is small but it was enough to open the suitcases we had and the sink in the room was typically convenient for getting ready for bed, brushing teeth and washing our face. They also had a projector which was very cute as we managed to watch a couple of videos and play music whilst lay in bed."

It’s conveniently located near Chinatown, with easy access to the MRT, restaurants, cafés, and plenty of places to eat nearby. Getting around Singapore from the hotel was very convenient. 🛏️ The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. It wasn’t particularly spacious, but for Singapore, I found the size perfectly fine. Since I spent most of the day outside exploring or working, what mattered most to me was having a clean and comfortable room to come back to at the end of the day. Another thing I really appreciated was how easy and convenient everything felt during my stay. Even when I returned late, there were still plenty of food options nearby, and getting around the city was never complicated. ⭐ Would I stay here again? Definitely yes. If you’re looking for a modern hotel in a great location with convenient transportation, Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre is a great choice. "The location of the room is excellent! You can directly see the Petronas Twin Towers from the rooftop pool at night. The room itself is clean and hygienic, and you can even cook. The large floor-to-ceiling windows offer a view of the city trains slowly passing by, making it perfect for families with kids. The owner is incredibly thoughtful; the air conditioning was already on when we arrived, and a dedicated staff member even came down to pick us up. There's a huge supermarket right downstairs, which is super convenient for shopping. I'll definitely be recommending this place to my friends next time they visit."

I stayed in a capsule, and the overall environment and hygiene inside were quite good. 3. Outside the capsules is a common area with very complete facilities. 4. The hotel is located in the Chinatown area, about a seven-minute walk to the subway."

"Cons: 1️⃣ Be mentally prepared, the bunk beds are really, really small, with no space to put your belongings. If you're over 170cm tall, your feet will stick out of the bed curtain. 2️⃣ The quality of roommates is random. On my second night, one roommate was still on the phone in the early hours of the morning. 3️⃣ There was a sweaty odor in the room, perhaps a lingering smell from the renovation? 4️⃣ I suspect the bedding wasn't clean; my legs were covered in bites, and they weren't mosquito bites. 5️⃣ The women's restroom occasionally requires queuing. Pros: 1️⃣ Excellent location, about a 400-meter walk from two subway stations, and very close to major attractions. 2️⃣ Staff service attitude is good. 3️⃣ Many guests are Chinese, so you can chat with them. 4️⃣ Cotton swabs, earplugs, toothbrushes, and toothpaste are provided free of charge, but you need to bring your own slippers, otherwise, you'll have to pay 2 SGD for a pair of 'couple' slippers."

"I had a very satisfying trip to Singapore. Yang Ling was very attentive and arranged a fantastic room for me. As a Chinese national, there were no communication barriers. The transportation was incredibly convenient, and the room was well-equipped with free mineral water, beverages, coffee, tea bags, and disposable toiletries. The room was clean and tidy, making for a comfortable stay. The hotel environment is also beautiful. The location is Pearl's Hill Terrace in Chinatown, offering convenient transportation and a quiet atmosphere despite being in a bustling area. There are two beds, one large and one small, similar to a loft setup. The space isn't huge; the bathroom and smaller bed are downstairs, while the large bed is upstairs. The only downsides are the lack of windows and the slightly weak air conditioning."
