Location Inside Haiphong Mansion, right in the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui. Harbour City, Nathan Road, Kowloon Park, and the Star Ferry are all within walking distance. The MTR station is just minutes away, making it easy to explore both Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. Room & Comfort I stayed for three nights. The single room is very tiny and has no window, but it feels cozy if you don’t mind the compact space. Linens were fresh, the layout efficient, and the air-conditioning was excellent — strong and reliable, which made the stay comfortable. The toilet was clean, and there was a multi-type power socket by the bed, great if you forget to bring a travel adapter. If you’re tall, the bed may feel restrictive as you can’t fully stretch out your legs. Amenities Facilities are simple: air-conditioning and Wi-Fi. No kettle in the room. Guests receive a single-use towel, shampoo, and shower gel every day, which keeps things hygienic and straightforward. Room slippers and bathroom slippers are provided. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable. Outside the room, there’s a water dispenser (hot and room-temperature only, no cold water) and a microwave oven free to use. Hot water for showering is available anytime. Hangers and a hair dryer are provided. Daily room cleaning is carried out, which keeps the space fresh. With plenty of food nearby, dining is easy and varied. Check-in Late check-in is allow here till 1am but after 12am need to inform the owner early. The front desk isn’t 24-hour, so arrivals after normal hours require coordination. This can be inconvenient for late-night travelers, but manageable if arranged in advance. Service The owner is genuinely nice and friendly, which makes a big difference in a guesthouse setting. Staff were helpful, making the process smooth once checked in. Allow to store your baggage before check in and out so you can explore in peace. Atmosphere The surrounding streets are lively, while the inn itself feels cozy. Some noise may filter through, but overall the vibe is casual and welcoming — closer to a homestay than a hotel chain. Building & Access The lift system in Haiphong Mansion is split between odd and even floors. Joyce Inn is located on the 5th floor, so you’ll need to use the lift serving odd-numbered levels. Verdict Joyce Inn is about location and value. Clean, affordable, and right in the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui’s energy. Best suited for solo travelers or couples who prioritize convenience over amenities. My three-night stay was comfortable overall — I appreciated the daily room cleaning, the fresh toiletries, the friendly owner, the strong air-conditioning, the clean toilet, the multi-type socket by the bed, the fast Wi-Fi, the abundance of food nearby, the free microwave oven, the provided slippers, the hot shower anytime, and the hanger and hair dryer. The price was about 80 SGD per night, which is acceptable, though I do hope it could be a little cheaper. The single room’s size and lack of window may not suit everyone, especially taller guests, but it worked well for me.

Whenever I visit HK, I always choose to stay at The Empire Hotel Tsim Sha Tsui. It's a comfortable stay with convenient access to everything. I especially appreciate the dehumidifier in the room; it's a lifesaver in May when Hong Kong's high humidity makes drying clothes a nightmare. Alice Liu at the front desk felt more like an old friend, providing incredibly thoughtful service. The special afternoon tea is also a personal favorite of mine. Let me tell you about the hotel I stayed at in Hong Kong – it was a pretty good and convenient place! It's actually located right above a mall, and the Jordan MTR station's Exit E is super close, practically downstairs. Plus, it's just a stone's throw from the Temple Street Night Market, and the A21 airport bus stop is right in front of the mall. Basically, everything is easily accessible from here. What I loved most about the room was how bright the lighting was, and they even offered complimentary sodas. The only downside was that the shower water pressure was a bit weak. On the bright side, the service was excellent – very satisfied!

Relatively easy to get to, with easy communication with the Guesthouse owners. The location is great- right in front of the Kowloon mosque which was great for us, indicating availability of halal food nearby. Within walking distance of the mtr, tourist attractions and shops (7e is right below). We took the Cityliner from the airport and got dropped off at the nearest stop which was great! Room was super tight, with small bathroom with a shower head right above the toilet. The toilet doors required some manoeuvring because it could close but was somewhat disconnected from each sliding panel (with evidence of some bugs stuck between the panels, I can understand, in rather hard to reach places).Otherwise, clean enough room and very quiet. Enough space under the beds to store luggage but otherwise, just enough space around the room for a single person to walk about, so we had to take turns and mostly sat on our beds. For very short stays, seems like a good place.

We stayed here last September 2025, masasabi kong maganda na tong place na to and very safe ang lugar.. If your itinerary mostly in Tst, perfect tong place na to. Some of the tourist attractions halos Walking distance lang.. Si ate who assisted us ay super mabait. Since we arrived early, We asked her for early check in, then she allowed us without any extra fee.. 🥰 The elevator is too small, it can only fit 4 pax without luggage and 2 pax if you have big luggage. From Airport ride A21 bus, then baba lang mismo ng bus stop sa tst. Tawid sa kabila, yun na mismo yung bldg. I like the cr. Wala lang bidet so be ready, bring your own tabo 🤭 they prepared shampoo,body wash, toothbrush at toothpaste, free bottled water and pwede ipalinis ang room everyday. Pag tawid sa kabila mtr agad, then kowloon park. Free entrance.. sa likod naman may 7/11 na, also bake house...

The room rates during the May Day holiday were a bit painful, so after much searching, I finally settled on this place and booked the cheapest room type. It was my first time in Hong Kong, and I'd seen many reviews mentioning discrimination, which made me a little anxious before going. However, I didn't feel any of that during my stay. When I checked in, I asked the front desk staff if they could arrange a higher and quieter room for me. To my surprise, not only did they fulfill my request, but they also gave me a semi-seaview room! The room was small but very tidy, and there was always someone to open the door when entering or leaving the lobby. There's a delicious butterfly pastry shop right downstairs from the hotel, and they even offer an 8.5% discount for hotel guests. There are also many great restaurants nearby, and transportation is super convenient. I only stayed for two nights, which wasn't enough – I'll definitely go back next time!

Upon check-in, the front desk informed us that the hotel's upper floors were undergoing renovations, and to let them know if we encountered any issues. Our 4-day stay was pretty good. We were on the 15th floor, and when we left around 10 AM, we barely heard any noise from the room. The room itself was decent, spacious enough to fully open two 28-inch suitcases. The hotel's location is also very convenient; you can get here from the airport by taking bus A21/A22 or the MTR. It's about a 10-minute walk from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station to the hotel. Downstairs, there are plenty of dining options like Lin Heung Tea House, Yung Kee Roast Goose, Chung So Dessert, Wa So Cafe, an egg tart shop, and Haidilao. For shopping, there's Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Don Quijote, 7-11, and Wellcome Supermarket. The street right outside the hotel is Kimberley Road, and our driver told us this area is Hong Kong's 'Korean Street,' so you'll find lots of Korean restaurants around! The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, about a 10-minute walk from Victoria Harbour. Downstairs, there are tons of popular Instagrammable restaurants. We went during the May Day holiday, and the queues weren't too bad. Victoria Harbour was super crowded, so we went back to the hotel to rest, and by 9 PM, it was much less busy. It was really convenient with kids; the two single beds were pushed together, which was perfect for a family of three. Just be prepared for the room to be small. The subway entrance, Sunset Rollercoaster, and a Rich Ice Cream shop are all right downstairs.

When I booked I didn't knew it was in the Chungking Mansion. Its know as the ghetto. Let's start with the good thing. It has a great location, close to everything. The problem is that Chungking mansion is a massive appartement complex and has a streetmarket down. It is really unsafe according to fire safety. Everything has dust and I got really claustrophobic. The first night I didn't sleep cause I was scared of getting trapped in case of a fire. The cover of the bed was really dirty and had body liquid stains and fungus. So I end up sleeping under my disposable towel. I would have really want to go to another appartement, but I already paid really much money and a better place would have even cost way more money.

The service was excellent and very considerate. When I had questions about getting around, the hotel staff were incredibly helpful and answered everything with a smile. They were so welcoming! Nearby, there's a Carrefour restaurant with amazing pineapple buns, and also 'Auntie Cong's Desserts'. The Lung Shing Duty Free Pharmacy also offers top-notch service. I was very happy; both the hotel and the surrounding area were fantastic. Loved it!
